7th ANNUAL DINNER AUTHORS DINNER

The much-loved Annual Author's Dinner, hosted by the Berkeley Public Library Foundation, was held on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 7pm in the magnificently renovated Central Library reading room, in the heart of downtown Berkeley.

The magical evening, spotlighting 30 authors, celebrated local literary stars, including Vikram Chandra, Leah Garchik, Nancy Oakes, Jeff Chang, The Kitchen Sisters, Carl Nolte, Bruce Aidells, and Anna Halprin. »See the complete list of authors and their biographies.

The Honorary Chair for the event was composer and author John Adams.

Anna Rabkin was presented with the Fred & Pat Cody Award for her tireless contributions to our public resource - the public library.

Renowned Berkeley illustrator Thatcher Hurd, designed the invitation.
